With the scientific name Vaccinium myrtillus, the blueberry is a fruit that is part of Super Foods Peru. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. It is produced in the regions of Cajamarca, Ancash, Lima, Ica, La Libertad and Arequipa.
This product is obtained from fresh blueberries without seeds and peel, which are subjected to a heat treatment to ensure their safety and shelf life, free of artificial flavorings and colorings.
Blueberry pulp: use and preservation
Shake before opening, then pour the product into a pitcher with boiled or cold water, according to the amount indicated on the package. If desired, sugar or sweetener can be added to taste.
It can be used in the preparation of jams, juices, nectars or any dessert without any restriction.
The product has a shelf life of 6 months. Once opened, consume it in its entirety or keep refrigerated. Blueberry pulp is sold in polyethylene bags of 250g, 500g, 1kg, 2kg, 2.5kg, and 5kg; also in doypacks of 250g and 500g.
