Aguaje capsules
The presence of sitosterol may be precursors of the female hormone progestogen. Because of this, many companies market Aguaje capsules with the hopeful phrase “to increase breast size, losing the body hair and increase women’s beauty”. However, this is not backed by scientific studies. Menopause, osteoporosis, estrogens deficiency, as it has, female hormones such as phytoestrogens, are reasons for which many attribute to Aguaje as a source of beauty and exuberance for women in the Peruvian jungle, who consume it regularly.
