Oranges are the fruits of varieties or cultivars from the species Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck. The orange in this category must be of superior quality.
• Very slight defects on its surface may be allowed, as long as these do not affect the general appearance of the product, its quality, state of conservation and presentation in the container. Slight defects in shape.
• Mild skin defects produced during fruit formation and development, such as those caused by Botritys, silver scaling (caused by Thrips), creasing and burns. As well as the damages caused by mites and queresas, by the presence of sooty mold and other agents.
• Slight healed defects of mechanical origin, such as damage caused by hail, scratches (branching, russet), damage caused by handling, etc.
• Slight peel defects caused by foliar applications.
In no case should the defects affect the pulp of the fruit.
