Pancho Fierro was born in Lima (between 1807 and 1809). He is considered the most outstanding watercolorist in Peru. Through his painting he reflected the life and customs of Lima. He was self-taught and of popular origin. Thus nowadays we can know what Lima was in the 19th century.
