The main component in mandarins is water and, compared to other fruits of its kind, it provides less sugar and therefore fewer calories. The amount of fiber is appreciable and it is found mainly in the white part between the pulp and the rind, so its consumption favors intestinal transit. From its vitamin content, vitamin C stands out, in less quantity than orange, folic acid and provitamin A, more abundant than in any other citrus fruit.
