In the Plaza de Armas are the Cathedral of Santa Ana, the Fortunato Cárdenas Cultural Center, the Museum of Culture and the Chapel of the Lord of the Prison. Another religious attraction is the Convent of the Poor Clares Sisters. On the outskirts of Tarma are the Archaeological Center of Tarmatambo, the Andenes de Vitoc Anta, the Sanctuary of the Lord of Muruhuay in Acobamba, the Gruta de Mamahuari in Huaricolca, the Cápac Ñan in La Unión, and the Gruta de Huagapo in Palcamayo. The artisans of San Pedro de Cajas are famous for their rugs. The Pampa Hermosa National Sanctuary in Huasahuasi is a protected area of high Andean-Amazon biodiversity.
Trekking
From Tarma the Pampa Hermosa Trail leaves, a hiking route through the Quechua, Suni, Puna and Yunga areas according to the geographer Javier Pulgar Vidal division. You cross the Pampa Hermosa National Sanctuary, one of the last areas with cloud forest in Peru. Apart from Tarma and Nueva Italia / San Ramón, there is no hotel infrastructure, that is, it sleeps in the simple conditions of the annexes visited or in the tents themselves. It is recommended to visit the Tourist Information of Tarma before departure and inquire about the organization of transport and guides.

Easter in Tarmeña with the typical flower carpets,
the Feast of the Lord of Miracles, the purple month in October,
the International Festitarma, traditional musical event of national holidays,
Gratitude Day, a day that Tarma's favorite son Manuel A. Odria is commemorated,
the Tarmeño Carnival, celebrated from the day of San Sebastián,
the Tarmeña Tantawawa Festival, dedicated to the Andean bread of All Saints.
