Camu Camu is a native species of the Peruvian Amazon. Its fruit is one of the most promising discoveries that has attracted worldwide attention for being the source with the highest known content of vitamin C. This Amazonian fruit has a vitamin C content of up to 2,700 mg per 100 g of pulp (on average), which is equivalent to 40 times the vitamin C content of orange pulp.
It also contains: Calcium (27.0 mg/100 g of pulp), phosphorus (17.0 mg), Iron (0.5 mg), thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and is rich in bioflavonoids.
