Chia is a seed whose consumption has increased worldwide in recent years. Due to the multiple benefits, it offers to the organism, it is considered a Super Food Peru. The one we offer in Andina Food is grown in the Ayacucho region, but it is also harvested in the regions of Arequipa and Puno.
According to studies, 100 g of seeds has 4 times more calcium than 100 ml of milk, which makes it a very important food to include in the diet as it helps protect teeth and can stimulate bone growth.
This seed offers a high amount of antioxidants. In addition, it contains omega-3 fatty acids and a low concentration of omega-6.
The chia seeds offered are 100% natural, free of pesticides and gluten, which allows them to retain their high fiber content, ideal for regulating intestinal transit.
Presentation and shipment of chia seeds
This product can be used to make cookies, confectionery and in the formulation of beauty products. It is also possible to consume it directly: it is recommended to ingest a spoonful with water, in juices or with yogurt; or as an accompaniment to fruit or vegetable salads.
The batches of chia seeds to be sold or exported are processed for each purchase order, thus offering a fresh and clean product.
Andina Foods works with 20 kg boxes (containing 2 bags of 10 kg each) assembled in 500 kg pallets (by air) or 1 t (by sea). It is also possible to produce customized packaging ready for retail sales.
