Since freedom is the highest good, any joint in this situation dominated by "free subjects", which could be called "civil", is subject to certain restrictions: distinguishing between the formal constitution of the political order, the rules, and the contents. that have value for each one, between origin and the future, between community ties and action, etc. It would then be appropriate to examine the foundation of that problematic joint, civil reason, which is not based on anything other than the demand for universality for great diversity.
