Bleach is frequently used in homes as an oxidant in the water purification process. Sodium hypochlorite is also used as a disinfectant in swimming pools, either by direct application in the form of liquid, concentrated tablets or powder, or through a saline electrolysis device through which the pool water is circulated. This chemical product can also be used as a bleach for textile fibers, as well as to disinfect sinks thanks to its fungicidal and bactericidal power.
