The mango is the main export fruit of Peru and is recognized in international markets as a fruit of exquisite flavor. The main variety for export is the kent and the crops for export are located mainly in the north of the country, from Valle San Lorenzo to the Casma area. Over time, the Peruvian mango has established itself as a flagship product and has kept our country in a stable economic position, despite suffering attacks from nature.
Currently, the Piura (77.42% of total national production belongs to this department) and Lambayeque valleys are the ones with the highest percentage of mango production in Peru.
