It has been used in the retention of urine, as a diuretic in gonorrhea (gonorrhea), for liver and stomach disorders, also against diseases of the spleen, kidneys and ovaries.
Medicinal action: It is a plant with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action. Some experiences reveal that in prostatic hyperplasia, it also acts as an inhibitor of cell growth.
