Tara (Caesalpinia spinosa) is a tree from the Peruvian Andes whose fruit has high levels of hydrolyzable tannins with an average content of 52%.
Use: Tannery industries allows to obtain clear leathers, with good light fastness, good grain, soft to the touch, good flexibility, they are high-end leathers; and in the chemical industry for obtaining gallic acid and tannic acid used in the pharmaceutical industry, etc.
