Under this sentiment, founders Adriana Cachay and Laerke Skyum created a brand focused on honoring ancestral traditions, using local materials and altering the production model to promote environmental sustainability. Originally from Denmark, Laerke met Adriana in her native Peru. Laerke fell in love with Peruvian traditions while traveling through different communities and meeting families and artisans who supported each other through their ancestral crafts. Like Adriana, who was deeply rooted in social work throughout her life, the two women were united by the desire to create something that would foster these traditions and prevent them from fading away.
