We designed a new spring model (part that helps the inner mechanism work). This new model prevents this element from being removed and thereby prevents the lock from being violated.

The market has been changing and consumers are more demanding and require packaging with more information to help them when purchasing the product. So we decided to renew our packaging and we introduced ourselves in an easier and simpler way.

We launched our new line of stuffing Ginebra. Ginebra is the new line of mortise locks with greater technology and a decorative finish, which Cantol makes available to homes that like elegance and comfort, without neglecting security. We change our slogan to LIVE CALM. We changed our slogan Demand Security, Demand Cantol to Live Calm.

2011
More resistant Security deployments on override locks continue this year. The one-piece back part is launched, which incorporates the clamp to the back part of the back part; now that these elements are incorporated they are more resistant to leverage. This same year a new security element is implemented in the override lock, it is the outer protector with fixing plate.

Our first lock with a “griddle” was born and we started to manufacture armored padlocks We continue working on new designs of locks and we decided to implement the system of stapling to the counter part of the lock. This is how our first lock with a slab was born, our Super 700 deadbolt lock. On the other hand, we got our padlock machining center, which allowed us to start manufacturing this new line of products.

Cantol was located in Los Talladores street in the Ate district, in a 4-story store, but we had grown up and working in a room with that distribution was complicated. So we decided to make the leap and moved to a much larger location in the same district. We currently continue to operate the manufacturing plant from those facilities.

Business activity begins with the Peruvian invention of Don Raúl Canepa Llanos: Tranca Cantol; whose patent number is 12005. La Tranca Cantol, consisting of a frame-to-frame bar installed inside the door. It is operated by a mechanism that allows its use from the outside or inside by means of its key.
